Joey & I decided to spend the day in New Orleans. Why? Because why not? Little Miss Elizabeth Taylor is in Texas with my mom so we thought that driving the hour to Nola seemed like a good idea, especially since I didn't have work & neither did he. Sunday funday it was. I think Jackson Square is probably my favorite part of the French Quarter. The buildings are so beautiful, although I wish that they were a little more kept up (& the streets were less smelly). Stanleys was a great place to eat a late lunch, Pat O' Brien's for a hurricane & then the Oyster Bar for a small appetizer & dessert. I have to say that today was a pretty great day. No stress, except for when I was trying to figure out the "hair bun" that I just got at Urban Outfitters. Finally figured it out. Thank goodness.
My entire outfit is obviously from Anthropologie (since I work there). Now, I don't want to shop anywhere else because I hate paying full price. It was nice just roaming the streets, hand in hand with Joey. All smiles, just having fun. It has been awhile since I have had fun. Lately, my postpartum depression has gotten the best of me. Sometimes I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel, but today I did. I think my postpartum depression makes me more sensitive to negativity! Being positive, must stay positive! Until next time.
