She's getting mad because she wants me to push her. She would be in a swing all day if she could!! When she was a newborn, her swing was my knight and shining armor!! When I was small, one of my favorite memories was of my great grandfather pushing me in my swing outside in the backyard. He would pull up a lawn chair and just sit there for hours until I was ready to go inside. He was the sweetest man I ever met. He would have done anything for anybody. He lived until he was 98 years old. I miss him! This is Tory after I pulled up a chair of my own and starting swinging her:
One of the great things about living in Louisiana are the parks. They rank top 10 in the nation. We went to Greenwood Community Park in Baton Rouge on Saturday and we had a lot of fun. I really want to go there on a date with Joey because they have a little cafe and canoes! We let Tory play, swing, jump and run around on the jungle gym and then we went on a walk around the pond. There was a really awesome WWII mural painted on the side of the bathroom -which I had to take a picture of! The place used to be a World War II ammunitions depot so there is interpretive signage along the walking trail and two, old, warehouses on site! It is a really cool park!! And, side note, how sweet are Tory's sneakers?
Tory is modeling her bathing suit for everyone. She also loves her denim jacket and her heart-shaped sunglasses! She was very excited today. As you can tell. I love her little potbelly and legs. We are dreaming of warm weather over here. It has been sleeting and my car is covered in ice!
Baby Gap's new "Go Wild" collection is so adorable! I got to view it yesterday when Tory and I went into the store at the Mall of Louisiana. My mom just bought Tory two other bathing suits from Baby Gap so I couldn't bring myself to buying a third one, especially since it is only January. But, for those other moms who haven't bought there little babes any swim gear yet for the summer, I have to totally recommend this one!! I need to see if they make an adult version of this because I kinda want it for myself. I remember way back in the day when I would go into Baby Gap and just "ooh" and "aww" at all the baby "stuff." Just thinking to myself, "Everything in here is so precious, I hope I get a little girl one day!" ...and I did! So woohoo! I have fun dressing Tory in all her Baby Gap swag. It is probably my favorite baby clothing store. And honestly the only place I really shop for her, besides Target.
Not into leopard? Or looking for something else? Here are a few other cute looks from Baby Gap:
