Thank You

Thank you Tory for always being there. Either in my arms or at my feet, helping me put on my shoes. I have always loved playing dress-up and I love that I have a "mini buddy" that loves messing up my closet just as much as I do. My shoes, purses and skirts are all over the house because of you but after I pick up the house, I have to just stop and smile. I love you so much and I love having a little, girly-girl to help me pick out lipstick or jewelry for the day, whenever I have an errand to run or work to dash off to. Your laugh, giggles and big smile melt my heart and I still till this day can not get over your full head of red, ginger hair! Every time we go out somewhere, people ALWAYS stop me and want to take a closer look. "Oh my goodness, her hair is so beautiful!!" ...so happy that I was wrong about red hair. Oh boy do I feel silly for ever thinking that red hair wasn't precious and unique. Thank you for being your sassy, little self and always entertaining me. I love you. Thank you. 

Tree Decorating

Well, we underestimated our tree. We thought that TEN boxes would be enough to decorate the tree, welp, nope. We still probably need... approximately two? more boxes. Hopefully that will do. And, I didn't get enough tinsel. I probably need five more strands. Ugh, who thought it took that much to decorate a tree? Last year was our first Christmas in this house & our first, official Christmas not living in Texas. We didn't get a tree last year, we were still figuring things out and going through a transition. I made it a point this year to buy a REAL tree (at least a real one for our first tree, right?) and to be sure to decorate not just the tree but the house too! I will have to wait until Saturday to go buy the rest of the decorations, I work tomorrow for Black Friday & everything is closed today! But, I wish all my three readers a very, very Happy Thanksgiving!! 

Ahoy Matey

Today we were sailors, in matching red & white and just hanging out in Tory's playroom. We had fun playing on the piano and writing on the ole chalkboard. We were having such a ball that I figured we should have lunch in there too. We've never done it before because I am always paranoid about messes and food stains on the carpet. But sometimes you just have to relax and just go with it. Thank goodness the ketchup stain is on Tory's face though instead, ha ha. And, I love a good ole mother/daughter outfit matching. Here's to playing make-believe and never apologizing for having fun.

Joey said that I looked like O.J. Simpson because of my gloves. He's so sweet, isn't he? My almost brother-in-law said that I looked like I stepped back in time- he has better manners than my husband. My family dinner at Ruth's Chris this past Friday night was so nice. I forget what it is like to go out without a baby, since it rarely happens. It was nice to get dressed up and actually have somewhere to go. And, what about this hat aka fascinator? Totally cool, right? The photo-quality isn't the best, the photo was taken on my phone and at night. Oh well.
