Hello Honeybees,
I asked my fellow fashionista & friend, Victoria Rosales, to answer a few fashion related questions of mine and she gladly agreed. I mainly wanted to do this interview because I love showcasing how people take part in their freedom of expression through what they wear. You can really express who you are as an individual from the clothes that you wear. And it's not about the price tag that is attached to these articles of clothing; it’s how you wear it. Prices have nothing to do with fashion. Fashion is a right, NOT a luxury. Fashion is supposed to be fun. There are no rules.
Here is my interview with Victoria:
Q: Who is your favorite designer?
A: Ralph Lauren. The classic, rich, all-American feel he brings to every piece has me gushing for more. His clothing allows me to live in a dreamland, one where the American dream extends far beyond the borders of the US of A. One thing I am looking forward to is his collaboration with the U.S. Olympic teams this year. As you know, the Olympics will be held in London, and I cannot wait to see how he uses the juxtaposition of London’s classic steamy streets and the iconic American style of the West.
Q: What's in your bag?
A: My bag is sort of a well designed mess. Organized chaos, if you will. It contains everything from lip balm and hair clips to a notepad and the ever so important iPhone (which in and of itself contains email, news updates & my connection to distant family & friends).
Displayed in the picture are some of my essentials:
//: Maybeline Volum’Express Mascara (in Very Black)
//: Tweezers by Tweezerman (I swear by them! Every hair, every time)
//: Coach Wristlet (holds its very own essentials such as money & ID!)
//: Notebook & Pen (Must have. I am such a list maker! I will forget anything if it’s not written down)
Q: If your house was on fire and you could grab only ONE item from your CLOSET, what would it be and why?
A: Oh this is such a challenging question. I think, having lived in Michigan these last three years, I have learned the importance of practical styling, especially in the dead of winter when it’s 20degrees and you feel as if your toes will fall off at any moment. So if my house was on fire I would grab my ivory winter coat from Tesco, which I purchased during my trip to Ireland this past winter.
Q: That ONE pair of shoes--which are they?
A: Isaac Mizrahi Liz Gladiator Sandals in gold. The gold sandal has the subtlest hints of bronze undertones that allow it to be worn with black, brown or beige. It is flat, comfortable, and versatile. Perfect for an evening in the city or a day in the park. J’adore.
Q: Favorite summer accessory and why?
A: Oh! This is easy. Sunnies! I am absolutely in
love with eye accessories. I love all sorts of shades shapes and styles. I am
almost ashamed (but not too ashamed!) to admit I have around 20 pair of
sunglasses I have collected over the years. Some vintage, some designer, and
others just plain cute. My favorite pair at the moment were a gift from my
boyfriend, Russell: Urban Outfitters Heartbreaker Sunglasses in gold.
Thank you Victoria! You are a beautiful writer, beautiful dresser & I really enjoyed this interview with you. Thank you for participating!
